Eight Week Stacks

It is obvious that we need to practice stacking puppies more often...

Boy One is a cutie pie, as are they all, of course.   He is alternately shy and pushy, depending on the hour of the day.

Baby Girl is infatuated with Dora, her half-sister from Sally's previous litter.  She follows Dora around like a... puppy.

I usually think of Baby Girl and Boy Three as "twins" because they are similar in both head markings and behavior.  He learned to climb out of the ex-pen shortly after his sister and, like her, comes running for you to tell him how clever he is.

 One day I went out to collect puppies.  There should have been five, but I could only find four.  I looked and looked, until finally I found Boy Four playing by himself on the far side of the yard.  He was content to be alone and someone miffed that I insisted on taking him inside.

  Boy Six is always ready for some attention, whether from the humans or the other dogs.  He is quiet but not a loner.  He usually stacks more nicely than this, but they were all tired, hot, and as cranky as an IRWS puppy can be.

The Wicked *itch of Balkan

The citizens of a six acre patch in Balkan Township, Minnesota, have long been terrorized by the local *itch.  She flies around on her broom when she isn't busy raising a new batch of flying puppies.

The dogs, cats, rodents, and humans within her domain have despaired of ever being free of her tyranny.  In fact, they were paralyzed with fear.

Not even the Wizard of Setter was was up to the task of overthrowing the Wicked *itch of Balkan.

One night, there was a Great Storm.  The wind howled, the lightning flashed.  The town crier made a strange discovery in the morning.  It seemed that a saviour had blown in with the storm.

The local citizens were overjoyed.

They were so thankful that they elected Dora Flea to the post of Official Wicked *itch Fighter.

All of the Wicked *itch of Balkan's flying puppies were gathered together, had their wings clipped, and began the arduous process of becoming proper puppies.

This past weekend, in celebration of turning four weeks old, the puppies went outside for the first time. They learned about grass and big dogs.  Dora learned how to play with little puppies.  All were happy to take naps in the basement.
